Practical Filament - Reshape your UI!
Let’s take a closer look at Filament, the real-time physically based rendering engine, and learn how to use it to build fun effects in our day -to-day UI.
We will explore the main Filament features, and how to use them to create some particle and material based UI effects and interactions. We will cover how to set up Filament, how to work with its material system, and how to use shaders and lighting to create simple effects that react to touch and animations. All of this rooted in practical examples, without diving too much into low level graphics code.
After this talk, you will have a better understanding of how Filament works, and how you can use it to create expressive and dynamic UI in your own projects.
